The depths of Faith

Posted: May 1, 2015

Faith is deliberate confidence in the character of God whose ways you may not understand at the time. Faith for my deliverance is not faith in God. Faith means, whether I am visibly delivered or not, I will stick to my belief that God is love. My faith has no bed to sleep upon but omnipotence. As a weak limb grows stronger by exercise, so will your faith be strengthened by the very efforts you make in stretching it out toward things unseen. Youth, beauty, wit may recommend you to men, but only faith in Jesus Christ can recommend you to God. Intelligence must follow faith, never precede it, and never destroy it. A person who wholly follows the Lord is one who believes that the promises of God are trustworthy, that He is with His people, and that they are well able to overcome. The Christian experience, from start to finish, is a journey of faith. Our rest lies in looking to the Lord, not to ourselves. Not by feeling but by faith do the spiritual live. Many confuse understanding with believing. The life of faith is not only totally different from, but also diametrically opposite to, a life of feeling.

Water to Wine....the Truth of the Vine

Posted: May 1, 2015

There has been, and continues to be much controversy concerning the wine that Jesus made at the wedding feast. The word translated "wine" cannot, with any degree of certainty, be proven to be either intoxicating or not intoxicating. The Greek word "oinos" is a generic term, which designates the juice of the grape in all it stages according to William Patton (Bible Wines, Ft. Worth, Tx. Star Bible Publications, 1871, p. 52).

There are two predominant views on this subject:1. Not Intoxicating and 2. Was Intoxicating.

1) THE WINE WAS NOT INTOXICATING.

This position is based primarily on the following arguments:(a) The wine of the First Century was watered down (i.e. 3 parts water to 1 part wine) and that a considerable amount would have to be consumed before one would be drunk. Rabbinic literature frowned upon drinking undiluted wine (Shabbath 77a; Peshahim 108b and 2 Macc.15:39, which says "It is harmful to drink wine alone, or again, to drink water alone, while wine mixed with water is sweet and delicious and enhances one's enjoyment.") (b) Those of Biblical times frowned upon the abuse of wine. There are many references that discuss drunkenness or otherwise being tempted by wine: Gen. 9:21 20 Then Noah began farming and planted a vineyard. 21 He drank of the wine and became drunk, and uncovered himself inside his tent. Prov. 20:1;21:17; 23:20-211 Wine is a mocker, strong drink a brawler, And whoever is intoxicated by it is not wise. 17  He who loves pleasure will become a poor man; He who loves wine and oil will not become rich. 20 Do not be with heavy drinkers of wine, Or with gluttonous eaters of meat; 21 For the heavy drinker and the glutton will come to poverty, And drowsiness will clothe one with rags. Is. 5:11-12 11 Woe to those who rise early in the morning that they may pursue strong drink, Who stay up late in the evening that wine may inflame them! 12 Their banquets are accompanied by lyre and harp, by tambourine and flute, and by wine; But they do not pay attention to the deeds of the LORD, Nor do they consider the work of His hands. (see also 3 Macc. 5:2).(c) Those of Jesus' day knew the Old Testament warned of the misuse of wine and therefore did not serve intoxicating drinks: 1 Cor. 5:11; 6:10 11 But actually, I wrote to you not to associate with any so-called brother if he is an immoral person, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or a swindler--not even to eat with such a one. 10 nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. Gal. 5:2121 envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Eph. 5:1818 And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit 1 Pet. 4:33 For the time already past is sufficient for you to have carried out the desire of the Gentiles, having pursued a course of sensuality, lusts, drunkenness, carousing, drinking parties and abominable idolatries. (d) Jesus would never do anything that would encourage sin and providing intoxicating wine would have encouraged drunkenness. (e) There is nothing in the text of John two that would require this to be intoxicating wine. Even verse 10 does not suggest that the guests were drunk. "Drunk freely" could mean nothing more than "they have consumed all that they could hold" with no reference to intoxication.

2) The second position is that THE WINE WAS INTOXICATING.

This position is based primarily on the following arguments: (a) While it is true that wine of the First century was usually watered down (if it wasn't, it was called "strong drink" - cf.Lev. 10:8f; Do not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: [it shall be] a statute for ever throughout your generations Deut. 14:26, et.al), And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the LORD thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household that which was consumed was nevertheless intoxicating if one consumed a sufficient amount. (b) Those of Biblical times frowned upon DRUNKENNESS or otherwise being unduly influenced by wine. Thus, it was acceptable, even by divine standards, to consume wine. It was not acceptable to get drunk. (c) Those of Jesus day knew the Old Testament warned of the misuse of wine and therefore encouraged CONTROL and MODERATION. This would be similar to Paul's advise to Timothy (1 Tim. 5:21). Paul would never encourage Timothy to get drunk. But drinking a small amount (similar to our "social drinking") would be acceptable. (Note: while this argument about control and moderation might have some merit, the discussion in 1 Timothy has nothing to do with social drinking. A modern application would be "take some medicine for your stomach's sake..."). (d) God created a number of things that could be misused and abused. For example, God created sex, and intended for it to be a good thing within His designed parameters (marriage). Yet, men have misused this creation of God. Equally, God created the vine. Still, God placed parameters around the use of the vine. Men are then responsible for whether they obey God's instructions concerning wine or not. (e) The best translation of verse 10 is "when they have become drunk," indicating that the guests were, at this time, already intoxicated.

WINE IN BIBLICAL TIMES1. What do the words mean?

A. “Yayin/Oinos” - can mean “fermented/unfermented” wine; can mean: “intoxicating/nonintoxicating”wine1) Prov. 23:29ff – must be “fermented” – cannot be grape juice 2) Isaiah 16:10 – cannot be “fermented” – must mean grape juice 3) Pliny the Elder says, “good wine” was one destitute of spirits – (Lib. IV CB) 4) Horace wrote of wine that was non-intoxicating in his Odes (I. 18)5) Plutarch, in Moralia, wrote of wine that neither affected the brain nor passions and remarked that he liked wine that was non-intoxicating. 6) Barnes, in his commentary on the Gospel of John, states, “the common wine of Judea was the pure juice of the grape without any mixture of alcohol and was harmless.”7) Aristotle wrote of wine as both fermented and unfermented (Meteorological 384a 4-5 /388 b 9-13).8) Athenaeas wrote of unfermented wine taken from the fields (Banquet 1, 54 / 2, 24 / 6, 89).9) The Septuagint (an intertestamental Greek translation of the Old Testament) translates theHebrew word “tirosh” (new wine) as “oinos” 33 times. Obviously, they believed oinos could be unfermented. 10) The word “yayin” (O.T. wine) can refer to newly pressed (unfermented) wine (Encyclopaedia Judiaca, 1971, vol. 16, p. 538).11) Josephus wrote that the “fruit of the vine” was unfermented juice.12) The Jewish Encyclopedia, 1901 (vol. 5, p. 165) states that Jesus would have used the unfermented wine of the Seder Service to institute the Lord’s Supper.

B. “Tirosh/Gleukos” – means “new wine” – Acts 2:13 (not fully aged)

C. “Shakar” – means “strong drink” – same word as “drunk” – I Sam. 1:14-151) 1901 Jewish Encyclopedia – shakar means “unmixed wines”2) T.W.O.T. – “Wine was the most intoxicating drink known in ancient times. All the wine was light wine, i.e. not fortified with extra alcohol. Concentrated alcohol was only known inthe Middle Ages when the Arabs invented distillation (“alcohol” is an Arabic word) so what is now called liquor or strong drink (i.e. whiskey, gin, etc.) and the 20% fortifiedwines were unknown in Bible times.” (vol. 1, p. 865)3) Dr. Ed Dobson states unequivocally, “drinking beverages with strong alcoholic content was prohibited. In fact, even the Greeks thought people who did that were barbaric . . . the Bible and culture condemn unmixed drinks and strong drink.” (sermon 4/22/88)4) McNeil – everything we have today is strong drink by these standards.

2. How was wine stored? A. Boiled until thickened – non-intoxicating – “The wine Jesus and most other Jews drank was ‘oinos’, a drink made by boiling or evaporating fresh grape juice down to a heavy syrup or paste in order to prevent spoilage and simplify storage. To make a beverage, water would be added as needed to a small quantity of the syrup. That mixture was nonalcoholic, and even when allowed to ferment, it was not intoxicating because it wasmostly water.” (The MacArthur New Testament Commentary, Matthew 8-15, p. 261-262)1) The Talmud, a codification of Jewish law, states that the Jews regularly used boiled wine (Erubin 29a).2) Pliny the Elder, in his Natural Histories, wrote of wine that had the consistency of honey andcould last ten years.3) Dr. Caspar Neumann (a chemistry professor) said, “It is observable that when sweet juices are boiled down to a thick consistency, they not only do not ferment in that state, butare not easily brought into fermentation when diluted with water... “ (Nott, London ed.,p. 81).

B. Liquid stored in jars/skins – fermented (mixed with water) – Professor Robert Stein explains that wine was stored in large jars called “amphorae”. The wine was taken from these jars and poured into large bowls called “kraters”, where it was mixed with water. Wine was never served directly from the “amphorae” without first being mixed with water. The ratio could be as high as 20 parts water to one part wine. (Christianity Today, June,1975, pp. 9-11)“To begin with, the wine was mixed with water and indeed . . . the benediction (blessing) should not be pronounced ‘til the water had been added to the wine.” (The Life & Times of Jesus Christ the Messiah, II, p. 208, Alfred Edersheim) Jews (Jesus) always diluted their wine with water, usually to the proportion of three partswater to one part wine.” (The Bible Expository Commentary, vol. 1, p. 292, Warren Wiersbe) In the 1901 Jewish Encyclopedia, vol. 12, p. 533 it states that “yayin” (wine” was always diluted with water. B.C. Homer, in his Odyssey, advocates a 20-parts water to one-part wine ratio. Pliny, in his Natural Histories, advocates an 8:1 ratio. The Jewish Talmud states that if wine is not mixed in at least a 3:1 ratio it is no longer wine. Conclusion“The wine that was consumed in biblical times was not what we know as wine today. It was more ofa concentrated grape juice with its intoxicating properties basically removed. You cannot defend wine-drinking today on the basis of wine-drinking in Bible times because the two are totally different.”(Living in the Spirit, p. 31, John MacArthur) A brochure from the American Educational Materials, Anaheim, California, gives a running history of alcohol up until 1985. It comments on the alcohol at the time of Jesus Christ as being “ancientfermenting of fruit juice, man’s oldest tranquilizer, very low alcohol content”.“It (wine) was invariably fermented (no refrigeration), it was not always inebriating and in most instances was but slightly alcoholic.” (Unger Bible Dictionary, p. 1168)“The strength of natural wines is limited by two factors. The percentage of alcohol will be half of thepercentage of the sugar in the juice. And if the alcoholic content is much above 10-11%, the yeast cells are killed and fermentation ceases. Probably ancient wines were 7-10%.” (T.W.O.T., p. 376) Therefore, much of the wine was boiled, removing its alcoholic content. Jewish people mixed their fermented wines at least 3:1 with water. If the wine had a 7-10% alcoholic content, mixing it wouldreduce the alcoholic content to between 1.75% and 2.50%. In our culture, a drink has to exceed 3.2% to even be considered “alcoholic”. In Jesus’ day, one would have to drink all day in order tobecome drunk. This explains the comment of Paul to churches that their pastors “not be given tomuch wine”. (I Timothy 3:3) The process of distillation was not invented until after 1000 AD, so ancient wines could not have ahigh alcoholic content (Encyclopedia Britannica). You simply cannot defend social drinking on the idea that Jesus drank fermented wine because muchof the wine of the day was unfermented and the fermented wine of the day would have been mixed with water and thus sub-alcoholic.

Authority Excersied with Humility...

Posted:  May 2, 2015

Authority exercised with humility, and obedience accepted with delight are the very lines along which our spirits live. Until the will and the affections are brought under the authority of Christ, we have not begun to understand, let alone to accept, His lordship. Prayer is the risen Jesus coming in with His resurrection power, given free rein in our lives, and then using His authority to enter any situation and change things. It's time for a new Reformation in the Church--to call the Church back to the authority of the Word of God, beginning in Genesis.

Worship: from the temple to the ditch..

Posted:  May 2, 2015

Priests, Levites walking coming from the temple, singing of psalms ,exegesis of the scriptures, fellowship of like mind, still in your ears going down to Jericho and there is a bloody mess in the road. Their response is- Don’t disturb me.

You can worship God in the temple correctly, sing the set psalm correctly, trumpet blows at the right time and don’t interrupt my meditation with that mess in the ditch.

We worship God with perfect freedom in the spirit with perfect everything correctly, moving of the spirit and great words and our brother is in the ditch and we leave him there.

Worship has to continue from the temple down to the ditch.

I was in prison you came to see me and they said when Lord; whey you did it to the least of my brethren you did it to me; clothes, feeding.

We don’t know what to do with them. Be there.

Be faithful to person, not you creeds.

Faithful to stick with you even when you don’t agree, I’m sticking with you.

Body of Christ- you do not slander them, you forgive them . You are not the one on the throne, because if you are it is the essence of sin and all demonic activity. It is Safety. If brothers’ fall into sin, let there be no despising. God stood by David -Solomon was a product and proof of God sticking with him. He didn’t kick him out.He that is mature and wise will restore a brother.

To the hurt and broken- I will be there

Luke &: Jesus Heals a Centurion's Servant

Posted:  May 2, 2015

POWER BOWS TO AUTHORITY
Jesus says I say to you, not even in Israel have I found such great faith.
The Centurion recognizes that the authority Jesus had was because Jesus Himself was under authority. He was submitted to the authority of His father.
He knew the great amount of authority that was given him because of the authority he himself possessed with the Roman Government.

A century is made of 100 soldiers. A centurion was over the 100 soldiers. The strength and power of the army of Rome was made up of those centurions who were given to the will and purpose of Rome. Because Rome knew this; authority was given to this centurion and had the full backing of the Roman government. A soldier no matter how big or strong and maybe much bigger and stronger to than the centurion, fully obeyed him because if they didn’t the whole force of the Roman Empire would come against him and ally around the centurion.

This centurion recognized that the Lord Jesus was given over to the will and purpose of His father. Therefore he recognized that at Jesus word; just His word spoken; that He didn’t even have to come to his servant that all of heaven, the heavenly host, All of heaven would back him and release the healing power.
It is like a Mac truck which is all power and a 5’8” man comes and shows his badge; that truck will halt. The governmental powers that be have invested into that man authority and power will bow; knowing that the powers will back that man Jesus is Lord and King; the Holy Spirit has been given and every time that prayer is answered and we invoke His name and power is released it is proof He is THE King.

Jesus said Matthew 28:18 "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

Prayer

Posted:  May 3, 2015

No man is greater than his prayer life. We look upon prayer as a means of getting things for ourselves; The Bible idea of prayer is that we may get to know God Himself. The purpose of prayer is to reveal the presence of God equally present, all the time, in every condition. Every time we pray our horizon is altered, our attitude to things is altered, not sometimes but every time, and the amazing thing is that we don't pray more.

Living Faith

Posted:  May 12, 2015

Faith is permitting ourselves to be seized by the things we do not see. Faith is deliberate confidence in the character of God whose ways you may not understand at the time A person who wholly follows the Lord is one who believes that the promises of God are trustworthy, that He is with His people, and that they are well able to overcome. We have received life, yet this life and the head are inseparable. Upon our accepting Him, we still must live in Him. Though we have received Him, we are yet to depend on Him. The steps of faith fall on the seeming void, but find the rock beneath.. Faith is a matter between the individual and God Accordingly, we cannot be independent in anything. The Lord alone is head, and He is the sole resource of our life. Many confuse understanding with believing. The Christian experience, from start to finish, is a journey of faith. Our rest lies in looking to the Lord, not to ourselves Everyone who believes in God must have His revelation in his spirit, or else what he believes is not God but mere human wisdom, ideals or words. Such faith cannot endure the test. We should inquire once again as to what the life of faith is. It is one lived by believing God under any circumstance: "If he slay me," says Job, "yet would I trust in Him" (Job 13:15 Darby). That is faith. Faith is God's work within us.

Seeking Him First in the Mornings...

Posted:  May 13, 2015

Many "early morning risings" may seemingly bear no fruit at all, but the continued lifting up of our desire for Him, along with our worship and the obedience of seeking after Him, rather than things, will in time bring forth within us an accumulative effect that will surprisingly produce a profound spiritual result. We will have "become" a prophetic vessel that is available to Him

Let Him Who Boasts, Boast in the Lord!

Posted:  May 15, 2015

Jeremiah 9:23-24
Thus says the LORD, “Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches; 24 but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the LORD who exercises lovingkindness, justice and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things,” declares the LORD.
If we are to do any glorying, we should not glory in our wisdom, our knowledge, our educational achievements, however fine they might be. Neither should we glory in our might, whatever power or authority we might exercise. We are not to glory in our bank account. What we are asked to glory in, is two things: “that he understands and knows Me.” This glorying is not a proud boasting. Rather, it is a sincere open rejoicing. We are to glory in the fact that we understand and know God.

The Comforter..

Posted:  May 12, 2015

The Comforter "Comforter" translates the Greek word parakletos which literally means "one called to one's side."
Paraclete- The Battle Companion or the Battle Buddy. This is the original root meaning for the Holy Spirit.
Battle Buddy and One who speaks into an ear and tells you.
If you remember some of the older movies, there would be two men fighting with swords. There was always another set of men. It was you and your battle companion, both of you would fight together, back to back, side by side. That is one of the meanings of the Holy Spirit. He is right by your side at all times. He fights right along with you, never leaving you, watching your back, protecting you; the statement of this is if you go down, I go with you. No matter what, I will be with you in the good and the bad, I have your life covered for you.
Another word for the Paraclete is another picture word. You are in a room, you are being questioned or asked to speak, but you don’t know what to say, but someone who will be your advocate will whisper into your ear what you are to say. You don’t know the answers or what to do, but suddenly a whisper in your ear and now you know that you know andn all is well. Then there are times you know just what to do.
Our Bibles have used the Latin word Comforter. It is two words, “Com”means with; “Forte” means strength; with another’s life; “with-strength you”.
He comes in as the inner man. The Holy Spirit comes to “with-strength you”. It is drawing from another life. It is drawing from Christ’s life. Once you see this with your inner eyes and understand this, you have it. The struggle and frustration dissipate. You ever learn and lean to draw from Him. If you need wisdom, faith, trust, knowledge, healing, provision direction or allowing Him to live His own life in righteousness, you realize that He is, (He is within you and rest in this) the fruit of His life, rendering good for evil, the answers you are looking for are there. You will give God room to be who and what He says that He is to you and through you. If you don't see this or feel lost in the dark regarding this, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal this to you.
We all respond according the the revelation given and it has to be given by the Holy Spirit. That is His job.
I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who [a]infuses inner strength into me; I am [b]self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency].
He comes along side of you, but now He is in you. He was called Emmanuel, God with us but also He is God in you. It is Christ in you the hope Glory.
You will find in the word Emmanuel, Em which in the Hebrew is IM. It is an intimate fellowship in all of your life, a person with whom you are in contact every day, all day long; it means cheek to cheek. This is God’s commitment to you.

Working 'from' God

There is a gulf of difference between -doing a work for God and working from God.

Gods Promise to us..

Posted:  May 23, 2015

I will never leave you nor forsake you. This is the blood covenant oath; a promise to us.

To leave is a picture word. It is a picture of a sailor over the boat holding onto the rope and the person holding the rope lets go.

God is saying I am holding the rope and I will never let go of the rope. I will not leave you. I will not let you sink. You will not sink because I am holding the rope, I will not let you go. I will never let you sink. I will not leave you.

Look at how this is read in the Greek; the many times that God emphasizes that He will not leave you, He will not let you sink, He is holding the rope and says numerous times He will never leave you

Hebrews 13:4-6 for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!]

To forsake means that you are left with no way out. Not true. When the gates of hell have come against you, God Himself will make the way out. There is an expected end.

God Himself is holding the rope and you will not sink and The Lord your God is making a way for you.

Thanksgiving..

Posted:  May 24, 2015

Let us thank God heartily as often as we pray that we have His Spirit in us to teach us to pray.

Thanksgiving will draw our hearts out to God and keep us engaged with Him; it will take our attention from ourselves and give the Spirit room in our hearts. When it is a question of God's almighty Spirit, never say, "I can't." If we rely on the Holy Spirit, we shall find that our prayers become more and more inarticulate; and when they are inarticulate, reverence grows deeper and deeper. As the sun can be seen only by its own light, so Christ can be known only by His own Spirit. Confusion and impotence are the inevitable results when the wisdom and resources of the world are substituted for the presence and power of the Spirit.

Definition of Bless:

Posted:  May 25, 2015

Bless- Definition: Happy or to be envied. In its root word in the Hebrew; it is "to bow the knee"; not as a slave groveling, but as a camel kneeling to receive its burdens. It is bowing before a person because he is of great significance and great worth.

It is a person of great worth and significance and value. You have been designated as worthy and significant.

Example: If I go to Walmart and buy a costume beaded necklace which cost $3.00 and it breaks, I am not going to be that disappointed. I certainly will not search the house high and low for the beads. I’ll get another one.
But, if I have a gold chain and it has all gold beads and the chain breaks and the beads are on the floor. I will get on my hands and knees to find every one and ask you to join along with me. Just because it is broken it has not lost its value. Every bead along with the chain is valuable.

We are of value to God that He would send His Son for us. There is a worth in each person that God sees, but we might not recognize. We need to be careful how we treat each other.

It is a word that is spoken. It is to speak a good word. Not a thought; or a wish. It is a premeditated word; from the depths of a heart; a word that is transmitted; a word in the Bible where always something happens. It is tangible. Not empty words; but the power of God attending those words to bring the intent of those words.

This word has something of substance when the priest said The Lord bless you, something happens. There goes forth from me; not empty words, but the power of God attending those words to bring about the intent of what was spoken.

To Bless is a person who has received a good word and that good word attended by the power of God will bring you to the goal and intent of that word.

It is that God wills you highest and best; you coming to the fullest potential in the covenant. It is the linking of God’s life, God’s energy, God’s favor in and upon you.

Esau when he doesn’t get blessed; with tears he goes to his father. Don’t you have another blessing for me? Isaac says, I am sorry, I gave it to him, I can’t give it to you. These are not cheap words. It has been transmitted; it is attended by the power of God. It is on its way to perform what it is destined to do.

New Testament echoes God both purposes to will and to do of His good pleasure.

The words means a prosperity and success; fertility and energy in your life; a life energy. It didn’t begin with money.
Prosperity means coming to its intended end; and a mighty advancing.

It means whatever I put my hand to shall prosper. There is God’s life and fertility, His divine energy within me; linked to me. God with you and in you. You are linked to His name.
It means wherever the soles of your feet are you can have.

The Blessing breaks the curse. The blood and cross of Christ breaks and yet speaks against the curse and brought the blessings to the believer and put us always in God’s favor. It is because of the everlasting covenant made with the blood of God’s own son and it shall never be broken because it is due to the merit of the blood of Jesus, the Son of God also God Himself.

It is the very linking of the life of God in you and upon you.

• It is your spirit- that is you are united and one with God; there is no separation and you know this. He walks in the midst of you closer than your breathe.
• In your mind-my mind is wealthy. I am successful to receive divine revelation and truth and walk in it.
• In your emotions-prosperous with God and I am filled with the love of God towards Him and therefore towards you. My emotions are not crippled with anger and bitterness.
• In your body-it is doing what my body was meant to do. I have successful lungs and they are doing what successful lungs do. My liver is successful and healthy doing what it should.
Then there is prosperity in all that you touch and do. It is in that order. It is a safe prosperity. They are inner riches that are expressed in an outer form. Prosperity in money that is not in your spirit first is dangerous.

Sometimes blessings, the energy of God, His favor shows up the best in the darkest of times.
Ruth faced loss and lack, but she took refuge under the Lord’s wing.
1. May the LORD, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge, ...

Let me go to the fields and pick up the leftover grain behind anyone in whose eyes I find favor.”
You may being suffering loss, but you are not a loser. That is never your identity or your definition.
You present yourself to God and you bring your true definition to the situation. As Ruth did, she received favor of provision on more than one level.
Esther was a Jewish girl and the Lord is not to be named or spoken of, her people are persecuted and now in harms way. The king’s wife, Vashti, was already banished for not doing as she was told. You could not go into the king’s bedroom, unannounced and without an invitation, even if you are his wife. The blessing of the Lord, His favor was upon her as she entered the king’s chamber uninvited and began to be the instrument for the deliverance of her people.
Joseph, no matter what type of frame up, rejection and hurt, he rose to the top because the Lord was with him.
Isaac, when there was a famine in the land, he sowed believing in the God’s who he was in covenant with and produced a 100 fold.

Proverbs 10:22 The blessings of the Lord brings wealth and he adds no trouble to it.
Safe riches. The love of God is first in your heart and wants to give away and coupled with it is a worship of giving away as it is a reflection of the king of God you serve and demonstration of how he cares for you.

Put my name (or my character-love, kindness, mercy, savior, deliverer, healer) and invoke my name-call my name and I will bless them. Displace the name of the enemy of blindness, oppression, depression, hate, darkness, etc and place the name of the Lord and He will bless them; that is to link God to the individual to redeem, restore, deliver and heal.

Giving a Monetary Reward in Exchange for a Prophetic Word..

Posted:  May 26, 2015

In the scriptures, the Lord revealed his displeasure towards the prophets of Israel that prophesied for money and spoke out against them. (Jeremiah 6:13, Ezekiel 22:25, Numbers Chapters 22-24, II Peter 2: 15-16, Jude 11 KJV). He also equated such practice with divination, [i.e. those that distribute or determine by lot or magical scroll, soothsayer, witchcraft. 7080, 7081 [Hebrew] Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible.] (Micah 3:11-12) We also do not find in the New Testament scriptures that any apostles or prophets of the Lord taught believers to “sow a seed” or give a monetary gift before or after receiving a prophetic word or for any other gift of God for that matter and it is no wonder considering what God has already said concerning this subject. Since He is clearly against this practice, believers should not give money to any Prophet that insists upon an offering for a prophetic word.

The Inner Change: Christ in You..

Posted:  May 30, 2015

The inner change, justification, is effected at the moment of salvation. The outer change in the believer's daily walk, sanctification, continues throughout life. But the progressive work of sanctification is only fully effective when the radical, inner transformation of justification is realized and appropriated by faith. The one marvelous secret of a holy life lies not in imitating Jesus, but in letting the perfections of Jesus manifest themselves in my mortal flesh. Sanctification is "Christ in you."... Sanctification is not drawing from Jesus the power to be holy; it is drawing from Jesus the holiness that was manifested in Him, and He manifests it in me. The faith which has not a sanctifying influence on the character is no better than the faith of devils. It is a "dead faith, because it is alone." Saving faith is an immediate relation to Christ, accepting, receiving, resting upon Him alone, for justification, sanctification, and eternal life by virtue of God's grace.
